Free Spring Rail
Free Spring Rails (FSR) provide vibration isolation for cooling towers, air handling units, and other equipment that are not subjected to significant lateral loads (such as wind). Due to their minimal operating height, FSRs are ideal for applications that have height restrictions.
FSRs include laterally stable springs and vertical restraints to minimize vertical travel during changes in supported equipment weight. Elastomeric components are incorporated in the vertical restraints to minimize metal-to-metal contact.
Where required, FSRs can include pre-drilled equipment mounting holes for ease of installation. No spring adjustment is needed – just place the rails and mount the equipment.
